I am a blockchain entrepreneur based in Santa Monica, California. Currently, I am on the founding team of Everipedia, a decentralized encyclopedia where editors are rewarded with our native cryptocurrency IQ for their contributions. I first got into the technology field back when I was a student at California State University, San Bernardino in 2015. In my spare time, when I am not helping contribute to building a knowledge economy I like to make people dance and turn up as Dj Christian Christ. – Christian Deciga
1. What made you take the leap into entrepreneurship?
In October 2015, I met Mahbod Moghadam (founder of Genius/Everipedia) and Sam Kazemian (founder of Everipedia) when they were giving a presentation about Everipedia at Cal Poly Pomona. It was only my first quarter of college, and after Mahbod and Sam finished their presentation, I saw their vision and offered to join them full time to work on Everipedia. So after the quarter finished I dropped out and moved into the Everipedia penthouse in Westwood, Los Angeles and joined the founding team. I helped grow the site to millions of page views a month through growth hacking and viral social media campaigns from Everipedia articles I created. Every time I would make an EP go viral on social media, google analytics would spike and Mahbod would call me “Christian Christ”. That’s how I got my Dj name.
